Hurlers from St Catherine's and Watergrasshill will represent Cork in the Munster championship
Watergrasshill's Cian Cronin, 14, who will represent Cork at the Munster Poc Fada this weekend having won his U16 event earlier this week.

ST Catherine's Eoin Davis and U14 Cian Cronin from Watergrasshill will represent Cork in the Munster Poc Fada this weekend.

Catherine's Davis held off Seamus Cronin from Inniscarra and Colm Crowly, Killeagh, in the senior section of the Cork competition.

Cronin, full-back on the Hill side that was successful in the Féile last Sunday, came first in the U16 category, ahead of Fr O'Neill's James Millerick, Eoin Healy (Laochra Óg) and Jack Corcoran from Youghal.

The 2019 Cork Poc Fada run by Cork GAA and Rebel Og Coaching and Games took place at Garryvoe Beach on Tuesday June 11th.

The weather conditions were ideal for the Cork Poc Fada, run by Cork GAA and Rebel Óg Coaching and Games, on a sunny evening with very little breeze along the course on Garryvoe Beach.

Paudie O'Brien was the coordinator for event, with the two winners flying the flag for Cork in the Munster leg at the Kerry Head Ballyheigue course on Saturday.

U16 Cork Poc Fada: 1. Cian Cronin (Watergrasshill), 2. James Millerick (Fr O’Neill's), 2. Eoin Healy (Laochra Óg), 3. Jack Corcoran (Youghal).

Senior Poc Fada: 1. Eoin Davis (St Catherine's), 2. Seamus Cronin (Inniscarra), 2. Colm Crowley (Killeagh GAA).
