CHAMPIONS of Europe!
Finally we get what we fully deserve from an excellent season.
Even though this was probably our poorest performance this year in terms of possession and attempts on target this could well be a game which will see us rule Europe for the next 10 years.
What a dream start we had and after a disastrous cup final for Mo Salah last year he coolly slotted the penalty past Lloris. Again we dropped off Spurs and left them dominate possession for the remainder of the first half.
Still, it shows that Spurs are a very average side, as they didn’t register one shot on target until the 77th minute. Klopp made the changes when they had to be made replacing Firmino and Wijnaldum and as usual Milner was superb when introduced. And that man Origi scored another crucial goal, which clinched us the top prize in Europe I was at the Nou Camp for the first leg of the semi and on Saturday I was at Murphy's Rock.
Not much of a difference in terms of atmosphere to be fair and huge credit to Bernard Murphy and his staff for an excellent night. What relief when that second goal went in.
And as a bonus Cork's Caoimhín Kelleher was included in the match-day squad so now has a Champions League medal.
Klopp now needs to go out and sign a creative midfield player and maybe another top class forward.
Roll on next year and we will hopefully see us crowned Premier champions.
