Kieran Kingston names his first team since returning to Cork hurling job

RETURNING Cork manager Kieran Kingston has named a mix of youth and experience for his first game back in charge.

The Rebels take on Kerry in the Munster Senior Hurling League at 7.30pm in Mallow on Friday night, with Damien Cahalane, Conor Lehane, Tim O'Mahony, Luke Meade and Seán O'Donoghue among the familiar faces.

Douglas' Brian Turnbull gets his first senior start at corner-forward, while opportunity knocks for Eoghan Murphy, David Lowney and Chris O'Leary in defence, along with U20 graduates Seán Twomey from Courceys and Kanturk's Ryan Walsh.

Highly-rated Barrs man Billy Hennessy is at midfield, while among the subs are Conor O'Callaghan and the Roche twins, Brian and Eoin. Those three, and Twomey, are all U20 again in 2020.
