THE heavy rainfall and Status Yellow alert along with Storm Jorge's arrival on Saturday morning has led to the second postponement of the Harty Cup final.

Christians and St Flannan's from Clare were slated to meet in Mallow at 1pm on Saturday, two weeks after the original clash was put back at short notice due to Storm Dennis.

On this occasion, the Munster Post Primary Schools authority have acted early and are now the highly-anticipated decider will go ahead at 12pm in the North Cork venue on Sunday.

There is an All-Ireland series on the horizon as well, the winners going to the semi-final stage and the losers getting the safety net of a quarter-final.

The clash on Sunday will be followed by a rescheduled ladies football league encounter between Cork and Mayo at 3pm.
