Rebel hurler Shane O'Regan, who displayed his range of skills last season across the U20 championship, offered a tricky test with a water bottle.

The Watergrasshill club man called out his team-mates, Midleton's Tommy O'Connell and Castlemartyr's Joe Stack, who didn't let him down.

All three will be key figures for the Cork U20 team this summer, under the guidance of Pat Ryan, provided the championships gets the go-ahead.

Meanwhile, Cork senior footballer Ciarán Sheehan has come up with a deceptively taxing soloing drill.

Whatever about using the left and right sides with a regular football, only the best will comfortably negotiate cones using a tennis or hurling wall ball.
