Speaking on the sponsorship, Ramblers chairman Billy O’Leary commented:

“To be sponsored by such an iconic and historic hotel in Cork is important to us on so many levels as we approach our centenary year in 2022 and as we celebrate our history while embracing our future.

“Tellingly, both the hotel and us as a club are undergoing positive changes and we believe this win-win collaboration will deliver great benefits for both of us.”

Ramblers boss Stuart Ashton and a number of the Cobh first-team players were at the launch.

“For us, it will be our first game of the season. It is at home, so we are hoping for a good crowd there and we want to show the crowd what we are about,” Ashton told The Echo.
