IT’S all systems go as the Cork Camogie Board gears up for a busy season of senior championship action starting this weekend.
In a major boost to the sport, the board announced the continued sponsorship of all championships from senior to minor by SE Systems.
The Intermediate and Junior A championship first rounds have already taken place, whilst senior clubs are gearing up for a busy weekend which will see seven first-round ties this weekend.
SE Systems have been wonderful championship sponsors to Cork Camogie since coming on board in 2008.
Managing Director John O’Leary is a man who has deep roots in local GAA, and a member of the Brian Dillon’s club where he held various positions including club chairman and he knows just how important sponsorship is to the board.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Cork Camogie board and sponsor their championships,” John O’Leary said.
“Down through the years we have witnessed the huge work that is going in at all levels.
“Their magnificent complex in Castle Road is testament to the hard work they are doing and SE Systems is only too happy to continue to support the board in any way we can.
“We are looking forward to another great season of championship game at all levels.”
Speaking at the launch Mary McSweeney, Chairperson of Cork Camogie board was thrilled to have SE Systems back on board at a difficult time for companies.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with SE Systems who have been superb sponsors of all our championship,” Mary said.
“John and his family have deep roots in our game and the support they give is second to none.
“We look forward to a hugely exciting and attractive programme of games ahead and it is fantastic to have SE Systems on board with us once again.
“We are in strange and trying times and to have this support is a huge boost to us, our thanks to everyone involved in making this happen.”
