THE attractive Premier Intermediate Hurling semi-finals will take place this weekend after the Cork County Board fixture list was updated.
Castlelyons collide with Courcey Rovers at 3.30pm in Páirc Uí Rinn on Saturday while it's Carrigaline versus Blarney at 7pm in the same venue that night.
Courceys recovered from a bad start of the campaign and the absence of Cork U20 forward Seán Twomey through injury to get out of their group and take out Watergrasshill last weekend. The 2018 runners-up will be underdogs again when they meet Castlelyons, unbeaten to date, and led by Cork seniors Colm Spillane and Niall O'Leary. It won't bother them one bit.
Carrigaline got a bye through to the semi-finals after hurling well in the round-robin section, Brian Kelleher, David Griffin and Rob O'Shea their marquee names.
Blarney pulled off a remarkable comeback against Ballincollig after plundering 2-4 in the last 10 minutes to squeeze through by a point but they'll need to be much sharper from the off on Saturday.

Interestingly, Blarney's Mark Coleman, Shane Barrett and Pádraig Power are also hurling for the UCC side that reached the senior semi-final, alongside Carrigaline's Kelleher, Griffin, Éanna Desmond and Declan McBarron.
They'll hurl together the following weekend against Blackrock in the PSHC last-four tie.
The last of this weekend's action is dominated by football games, including the Premier Senior quarter-finals between Nemo and Ballincollig, and the Barrs and Newcestown.

A statement from the board explained:
"IAFC Rel. p/o Glanmire v Mayfield is now TBC, subject to a request for a Friday evening throw-in.
"Please note the addition of the two PIHC semi-finals next weekend.
"The remaining semi-finals in hurling are all scheduled for the weekend of Sept 25th-27th All football semi-finals are down for that weekend also, depending on the progress of dual teams in this weekend’s quarter-finals and taking into consideration the desire to play correspondening semi-finals on the same weekend.
"Dates and times for the hurling semi-finals will go to CCC today and hopefully to clubs this evening.
"It is our intention to organise Premier 1 and 2 U21 hurling competitions later this year. Further details to follow, once final dates for the County championhsips below are confirmed.
"The draws for the County stages of the Divisional Junior A & B competitons will take place in the next week.
"The County-wide Junior B & C competitons for Junior B and C clubs only, will begin shortly, now that the divisional competitions involving many of the same teams are at an advanced stage."
