PROMISING young gun Adam Idah was handed his Ireland senior debut by new manager Stephen Kenny as three Corkonians featured in Sofia on Thursday.
The 19-year-old, John Egan and Conor Hourihane were the Rebel county representatives in the starting 11 as a late goal from recent Celtic signing Shane Duffy in added time snatched a 1-1 draw against the Bulgarians in the UEFA Nations League clash.
Notwithstanding the positivity of giving Norwich and former College Corinthians striker Idah a go, it was an average display from Kenny's charges in his first game at the helm since replacing Mick McCarthy.

Drawing from a solid squad with plenty of Premier League experience against an average Bulgaria outfit, Ireland are capable of more, though yet again they showed their resilience and ability to score from set-pieces by forcing the late equaliser.
New manager, same type of result, hopefully much more to come.
