Irish rugby coach Joe Schmidt to visit Cork

Ireland rugby coach Joe Schmidt , is to sit down for an interview with Cork broadcaster Matt Cooper, at the Everyman Theatre on Monday 6th May, ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

The event has been organised by Sundays Well RFC, who are raising funds for the third International Mixed Ability Rugby World Cup (IMART), taking place in Cork next year.

On the night the Irish rugby coach will be quizzed about Ireland's preparations for the Rugby World Cup and what's next for the rugby coach when he leaves his post later this year.

Liam Maher, chairman of the IMART 2020 organising committee said: “We’re exceptionally grateful that Joe and Matt have agreed to support this very deserving cause. They occupy incredibly demanding roles and their schedules are jam-packed. The fact that they have given their time so willingly to this event is a testament to the calibre of people they are."

Tickets are €40 and are available from or at the Everyman Theatre box office.
