Emergency services attend road incident in East Cork

Emergency services have returned from the scene of a road traffic collision (RTC) that occurred shortly before 8am this morning.

Four fire brigade units attended the scene after the call was received at 8am.

Three units from Midleton and one unit from Cobh attended the scene on the N25 between Midleton and Carrigtwohill.

One person was taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH) for treatment following the incident.

Gardaí also attended the scene and the road has since been cleared. 

Investigations are ongoing.
