A fire that broke out at a house in a Cork suburb has been brought under control.

Emergency services in Cork have left the scene in the Broadale area of Douglas where the house fire was brought under control this evening.

Earlier this afternoon, three units of Cork City Fire Brigade responded to the call received at 1.51pm and the fire was put out shortly after 6pm.

Gardaí understand that the fire was accidental and no injuries were reported.
