Two people in hospital following Cork city crash

TWO people are in hospital following a road incident on Cathedral Road in Cork city this morning.

A man and a woman were taken to Cork University Hospital after emergency services responded to an incident in which a car flipped onto its roof.

The incident occurred shortly after 10am.

Gardaí said the road remains closed at the moment for a technical examination of the scene. 

Local diversions are in place.

Two units of the Cork City Fire Service attended the scene.
