A CORK suit company has made sure the Lord Mayor will look his best when he meets US President Donald Trump in the White House this evening.
Simply Suits on the Kinsale Road have previously dressed the Munster Rugby team along with Cork City FC.
On Monday evening the company stayed open late and kept a tailor on hand as Cork's First Citizen, Cllr Des Cahill rushed from the council meeting in City Hall to get suited and booted.
"On Monday evening my wife said I better get a new suit for my visit to the White House," the Lord Mayor said.
"I arrived to Simply Suits at 830pm on Monday night after the council meeting and they had a tailor on site to alter the suit along with the customary green Patrick's day tie."
Andrew Rae and Conor Mullane were on hand to make sure our First Citizen will represent Cork in style on his visit to Washington DC.
Cllr Cahill is the first Lord Mayor of Cork to attend the St Patrick's Day celebrations in the White House.
