TOP chef Rachel Allen will deliver a cookery demonstration next month to raise funds for east Cork girl Tilara Costa Holmes.

The event takes place in the Cork International Hotel in June 8.

Tilara is a six-year-old girl living in Midleton. She suffers from spastic diplegia cerebral palsy causing her ongoing chronic pain which she suffers from each day.

She has painful spasms which continue into each night and affect her ability to sleep. Her muscle problems also restrict walking, sitting, crawling and rolling.

Tilara has, however, been accepted by TS Park to undergo life-changing surgery in the US which will relieve her chronic pain and help her to walk.

The family needs to raise €140,000 to cover medical expenses and hope that the public will help them to reach this goal.

Rachel Allen is donating 100% of the tickets to the Time For Tilara Trust, so those attending can enjoy a delicious night out and know that they are also helping a little girl to get a life-changing operation.

The evening begins at 7.30pm with a cocktail reception from ‘Raise The Bar’ cocktail team.

Tickets cost €35 and are available from Eventbrite or contact Ann on 087-9900624.
