A MAN has been questioned by gardaí about withholding information about the murder of Nicola Collins.
The 39-year-old mum died from severe head and neck injuries at an apartment on Popham’s Road in Farranree in the early hours of Monday morning.
A 42-year-old man, who was initially questioned by gardaí about the murder, was released without charge on Tuesday. Gardai will now prepare a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions who will decide if charges will be brought in the case.
A second man who was being interviewed about the possibility of withholding information was arrested in Limerick yesterday morning and brought to Mayfield garda station, but was released last night.
Gardai are continuing to examine CCTV footage from the area around Popham’s Road and were also speaking to people locally to help them gather as much information as possible about the final moments of Nicola Collins’s life.
