FOOTBALL fans enjoyed a sun-kissed Turner's Cross yesterday afternoon as Cork City made it 15 wins in a row in all competitions.

City dumped holders St Patrick's Athletic out of the EA Sports Cup to seal a place in the semi-final and continue their remarkable unbeaten run from the start of the season.

They have now won every competitive game they have played since last November's FAI Cup Final win over Dundalk.

City aren't the only thing reaching new heights, though, with temperatures on Leeside set to rival those in Spain this week.

Met Éireann has predicted highs of 19 degrees from today, with dry and sunny weather expected throughout city and county.

The good weather will continue throughout the week, with tomorrow set to be dry with highs of 16 degrees.

Fresh winds are expected by the end of the week, but temperatures will remain high in many parts of the country, with Cork set to reach 18 degrees.
