CORK people looking for work are urged to attend a number of events taking place in the city next week for Job Week.
A recruitment day takes place in the Hanover Street offices of the Department of Employment on Thursday, September 28, from 11am to 5pm which is open to jobseekers and those looking to change jobs.
The event is being held in conjunction with the Customer Contact Management Association (CCMA). Those interested in attending are asked to bring their PPS number on the day for registration purposes.
The Department is also inviting Cork employers to a Breakfast Event with Hays Specialist Recruitment that also takes place on Thursday in the Kingsley Hotel with registration from 7.30am.
The title of the event is “Diversity in the Workplace 2017 – Changing the future of work using untapped potential”.
It will highlight the positive experiences of employers who have empowered jobseekers with disabilities through employment.
Employers, employees, disability support organisations and government agencies who are committed to encouraging and engaging in social inclusion will be available to answer any questions on the challenges they faced and overcame, resulting in a richer and more diverse workforce.
On Friday, September 29 officials from Cork’s Local Enterprise Offices will be providing an information session for people in receipt of the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance, outlining the funding and training support available to people as they begin to build up their business.
This event takes place in the Council Chamber in City Hall from 9.30am to 12 noon.
