Nathan Carter is donating the proceeds of his next Cork gig to Marymount University Hospice and Hospital.
The gig will take place in City Hall Cork on Monday, 26 March 2018. Nathan will perform with his band and will be supported by Lorraine and the Conquerers.
The fundraising gig will be a great opportunity for Marymount to raise money to ensure it can continue to provide its current level of needed services. Marymount supported 3,000 families across Cork in 2016 with demand for services rising. It needs to raise at least €3 million each year from fundraising.
Nathan was due to visit the hospice on Monday 16th October, the day Storm Ophelia hit Ireland. Unfortunately, due to the weather he could not visit and had to postpone his second scheduled Cork gig.
Paula McGovern, Head of Communciations and Fundraising with Marymount, said Nathan's generosity will be of huge benefit to Marymount and to people who need Marymount's services.
"We are so grateful to Nathan for his generosity to perform the gig on our behalf. We are grateful too to George O'Dwyer from the Hazel Tree in Mallow who is helping us to make this happen. We need to raise a huge amount of money each year to continue to provide our in-patient, out-patient and community-based services."
"We are grateful to the people of Cork for their continued support. Now you can support Marymount while all the while attending a fantastic music event - our Nathan tickets will make a great Christmas treat for the country music lover in your life!
