Cork busker Allie Sherlock signs with US record label

Twelve-year-old Cork girl Allie Sherlock, who went viral for busking on Grafton Street outside Brown Thomas in Dublin.

CORK busker Allie Sherlock, after taking the Ellen Show by storm, has announced that she has signed a five-year record contract with Patriot Records.

The label is run by One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder who has worked with Ed Sheeran, Beyonce and Adele.

Tedder arranged for Allie and her father to travel to LA to record songs in his studio after seeing one of her performances on instagram.

Speaking on Saturday night's Ray D'arcy Show on RTÉ One, Allie revealed that she will record three albums on Tedder's label.

She also announced that she is doing a busking tour around Europe so fans will not have to wait long to see her perform on the streets again.

To celebrate the news of the record deal, D'Arcy presented the young Cork star with a vinyl record player on last night's show.
