Indiependence unveils first acts for 2018 festival
Walking on Cars are among the first acts announced for next year's Indiependence festival.

WALKING on Cars, the Blizzards, Hamsandwich, and Britpop legends Cast are the first acts announced for Indiependence 2018.

The Mitchelstown festival returns from August 3 to 5, 2018 with an eclectic mix of some of Ireland's biggest acts and a host of UK talent.

Jake Bugg and the Mercury-nominated Everything Everything will make their first appearance at the festival, joining Le Galaxie, King Kong Kompany, Le Boom, Wild Youth, 1000 Beasts, Tom Grennan, Sigala and Mylo at Indiependence 2018.

All early bird tickets have already sold out for the festival, with three-day camping passes now on sale from €139.

“We will be announcing a lot more acts in 2018 but wanted to give Indie fans something to look forward to before Christmas," said organiser Shane Dunne.

"Thanks to everyone who has bought tickets so far and we look forward to sharing some really big names with you in the new year.”
