A ROADSHOW dedicated to encouraging a ‘no’ vote in the upcoming referendum on the Eighth amendment has spent the last two days travelling around Cork.
Clare Crowley, from near Bandon, joined the convoy in the city and will spend the next few days canvassing.
“The reaction has been quite good,” she said.
“We try to understand people’s stance and address any questions they may have, that is my main goal. I have enjoyed it so far and for the most part, it has been very respectful.”
Clare believes the no campaign now has more support among young people than many think.
“I have engaged with people who might not necessarily be doing this [canvassing] but they would be pro-life and voting no on May 25,” she said. “There is a fear coming out, that they are being judged or seen as anti-woman but I don’t think that is the case.”
