DEMOLITION work has commenced of the former tax office on Sullivan's Quay.

The site is being cleared to make way for a new hotel.

Bam want to build a 220-bed, four-star hotel which would make it Cork’s largest hotel.

While the company is awaiting a decision on their planning application work began in recent days to demolish part of the site.
