A TAIL of true love is being recognised this May as two labradors take the big step of getting married in the romantic setting of Ballincollig Regional Park.
Following in the paw prints of love stories such as The Notebook, You Got Mail and Love Actually, this union guarantees to be a tear jerker as labrador Ozzie marries his partner in crime Jodie.
This wedding is gone to the dogs and you are all invited to attend to witness the magical moment that Jodie and Ozzie become husband and wife.
The five-star wedding of the season, on May 13, takes place at 11.30am is in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs.
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is a national charity which provides vital services to blind or vision-impaired people and families of children with autism to enable them to achieve increased mobility, independence and an improved quality of life.
The bespoke outdoor wedding ceremony is being designed by the Hayfield Family Collection and will launch the Irish Guide Dogs’ national dog walk series, Dogs Unite.
Dogs Unite is a 5km walk taking place in four locations Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Ennis. The walk is about uniting all kinds of people together and raise funds for Irish Guide Dogs. Registration is €10 per person or €20 per family.
Speaking ahead of the event, Lynda Foley of Irish Guide Dogs said: “This is no ordinary dog walk. We are delighted that the Hayfield Family Collection are supporting this worthwhile cause and adding a touch of class to the event. Dogs Unite is a chance to unite all dog lovers to support the next generation of Guide and Assistance Dogs by coming along to our events and helping us raise much-needed funds. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this exclusive event.”

Ozzie and Jodie will be kitted out by Diamond Bridal and Saville Menswear for the big day and will have a bespoke doggie cake designed by Charlie’s Dog Bakery.
