“One of our plans is to build our employees to 400 and build a new campus in Cork,” Mr Mackey told Newstalk. “We have a 10-year vision, we want to be a leader in the integrated operating system category of software, we want to do €450 million in annual revenue and to get there we need good people.”

The company already have a host of big names using their software, including Disney, eBay, Spotify and PayPal.

Mr Mackey said there is a great talent pool in Cork in certain sectors and the company also has a policy of trying to tempt back skilled workers from the area who left during the recession.

They see the potential for further expansion of their products, in line with the jobs growth.

“We have got three core products in the suite,” Mr Mackey said. “There are two more on the way so by the end of the year we will have five. Our grand vision is to have eight products.”

The grand vision also includes a determination to continue to grow without external funding. “We are completely self-funded and debt-free,” Mr Mackey said. “We also have a three-year plan and a one-year plan and we are growing at 40% a year — we haven’t failed yet.”
