On The Pull: Cork Valentine's fundraiser offers a workout and the chance to find love
The Rowr studio on Monahan Road is hosting a Valentines event with a difference on February 13 raising funds for Debra Ireland.

Rowr on Monahan Road is Ireland's only indoor rowing studio. They are running 'On the Pull' in aid of Debra Ireland on Wednesday, February 13.

A series of 30-minute express rowing classes will be followed by a post-workout drink of choice - beer, Prosecco or juices and the chance to chat and socialise with other participants.

“We were chatting one day about how more and more people are prioritising their health and how outside of the pub, it can be hard to meet anyone and ‘on the pull’ was born," said Julette Jones, who opened ROWR last September.

"Is it a fitness speed dating event? “Technically not, it’s just a chance to try something new, have a bit of fun with fitness and support a very worthy charity. But if someone does meet the man or woman of their dreams, we definitely expect an invite to the wedding."

“We had been involved with other fundraising events for the charity, which provides support to people living with the devastating skin condition EB and their families and we wanted to do something a little different," Julette added.

The classes are €10 per person and all proceeds go to Debra Ireland. You can book online at http://www.rowr.ie or contact the studio directly.
