A MAN is being questioned this morning about a seizure of suspected cocaine and cannabis in Cork city.
The seizure was made on Pope's Quay last night at around 9pm, when a man was stopped and searched by members of the divisional drugs unit.
He was found in possession of suspected cocaine. The cocaine had an estimated street value of €35,000. A follow up search was carried out at a nearby apartment where €1,000 of suspected cannabis was found.
The substances will now be sent for forensic testing to determine purity and exact value.
The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested and taken to Mayfield garda station for questioning. He is being held under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
