GARDAÍ are following a definite line of investigation in relation to an assault incident in Blackrock in recent days.

The incident occurred at a flat on St Joseph’s Villas on the Blackrock Road on December 2.

At approximately 5pm, Gardaí received a call that a woman in her 30s had been brought to Cork University Hospital after receiving an apparent stab wound.

The incident remains under investigation.
