A MAN was arrested yesterday following a burglary at the Oliver Plunkett pub.

The man in his 30s was arrested by Gardaí around 5pm after being alerted to the incident by staff members.

The individual had taken a number of items of stock, including bottles of vodka, from private quarters of the premises.

He was arrested close to the scene by Gardaí on high visibility patrols and detained at Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and he appeared before Cork City District Court this morning.
