TWO Cork stars have danced their way into the next round of Dancing with the Stars.

Rugby legend Peter Stringer and Young Offenders star Demi Isaac Oviawe both received 14 points from the judges. However, West Cork’s Eilish O’Carroll was the first celebrity to be eliminated from this series.

The Mrs Brown’s Boys star scored 12 points for a colourful samba, not enough to get through. This was the first week that all 11 celebrities took to the floor to perform their individual dances in a bumper show.

Demi was one of the first to dance, performing a foxtrot with partner Kai Widdrington to The Frank and Waters’ anthem ‘After All’. The judges awarded her 14 points. Former Munster and Ireland star Peter Stringer and his partner Ksenia Zsikhotska upped the tempo with an energetic quick step to ‘Wake Me Up’ by Avicii.

After the dance, he commented: “It’s been a tough week learning the steps, very different from the salsa.”
