Saturday, June 8 at Live at the Marquee will be an all-Dublin affair with confirmation that rockers Aslan will play the venue supported by Damien Dempsey.
Also confirmed for Live at the Marquee 2019 is the return of 2FM DJ Jenny Greene who will be joined again by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
They play the Marquee on Friday, June 28.
2019 will be a nostalgic one for Aslan fans. Their album Goodbye Charlie Moonhead was released 25 years ago in 1994.
The band are touring the album throughout 2019 and songs such as Rainman, Wheres The Sun, Games, Sweet Time, Goodbye Charlie Moonhead and of course Crazy World will be performed live on this tour.
The very special guest on the night is Damien Dempsey who will be bringing his full band with him.
Jenny Greene and The RTÉ Concert Orchestra blew audiences away at the Marquee last year when a whole new audience discovered the thrill of seeing and hearing an orchestra in full flight.
They were the standout act of Electric Picnic 2016, blowing the roof off a mobbed Rankin’sWood. During the rehearsal session, word went around Stradbally that something special was on the way and by the time of the performance the tent was packed, with queues of people outside desperate to get in. They topped the list for many as the highlight of the weekend.
Tickets for Aslan with special guest Damien Dempsey and DJ Jenny Greene at Live at the Marquee Cork go on sale this Thursday from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
