CORK teenager Jack O’Driscoll has thanked Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill and assistant Roy Keane after they allowed him to watch the Boys in Green train ahead of their clash against Denmark last night.

Mayfield native Jack crushed his C5 vertebrae during Storm Emma this year.

A series of fundraising events has seen the Rebel County rally in support of the young Mayfield man.

As the Irish side prepared to jet off for their clash against Denmark, which ended in a 0-0 draw, O’Neill and Keane invited Jack and his family to watch them train.

Jack previously told the Evening Echo that he is hoping to return to sport as a Paralympian.

Jack is currently staying at the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dun Laoghaire but hopes to return home to Cork in the coming weeks.

His house is currently being prepared for his return while his family also recently purchased a Ford Custom mobility vehicle following massive community fundraising initiatives for the Jack O’Driscoll Fund.
