Six weeks of engineering works will impact Cork train services

Engineering works being carried out on the line began yesterday and will continue until Thursday, February 28.

As a result, the following alterations will apply from Mondays to Thursdays:

  • 21:00hrs Heuston to Cork will operate to Mallow only, bus transfers from Mallow to Cork
  • 22:00hrs Cork to Mallow will be substituted by bus transfers.
  • 22:30hrs Mallow to Cork will be substituted by bus transfers.
  • 23:00hrs Cork to Mallow will be substituted by bus transfers.

Separate engineering works are taking place between Kildare and Portlaoise this Saturday and mean

  • 21:00hrs Heuston to Cork will operate as a bus transfer from Heuston to Portlaoise and train from Portlaoise to Cork.
  • The 18:25hrs Cork to Heuston will operate to Portlaoise only, bus transfers from Portlaoise to Heuston. 
  • 20:25hrs Cork to Heuston will operate to Portlaoise only, bus transfers from Portlaoise to Portarlington, Monasterevin, Kildare, Newbridge and Heuston.

On Sunday the 10:45hrs Mallow/Cork is deferred to 11:22hrs.
