GARDAÍ say that there were no serious injuries in a major accident which caused two hour-long delays on the N25 last night.

Some motorists were left sitting for more than two hours after a collision involving a van, a tractor and a truck.

More than a dozen emergency vehicles were scrambled from all over the city and county to attend to the incident and assist in the clean-up.

The N25 westbound between Little Island and the Dunkettle Interchange was closed for approximately two hours to facilitate the clean up of the associated debris.

A Garda source said that there was 'no serious injury involved but plenty of oil and hydraulic fluid involved so that took a while to clean up.'
