Food preferences between Cork's northside and southside are revealed

The takeaway favourites for people in Cork have been revealed by food delivery company Deliveroo.

The company has analysed the data for its customers in Cork to find out what foods were most popular in different areas.

They found that while the northside stays local when ordering, the southside customers turn up the heat when comes to ordering their food.

West Cork Burger Company's Savage burger was the most popular in Blackpool, while Supermacs’ chicken tenders are more in demand for residents of Gurranabraher.

Knocknaheeny customers wanted the cheeseburger from Son Of a Bun, while Chicken Thighs from Nandos were most popular for people living in Shandon.

Crossing the river Lee to the southside its seems customers there want to add some spice to their meals. 

Those in Mahon ordered the Chicken Korma Badami from Lal Quila yet top of The Lough’s list are wings from Koto.

Those in Ballypheehane favour the American Pizza from Milanos while the Munchie Box with Curry Sauce from Phoenix House was most popular in Douglas.

Deliveroo also checked their data for the differences between Cork's two main colleges.

Although CIT and UCC residents share a love for carbs, they couldn’t be further apart when it comes to taste. 

If you stopped a Deliveroo cyclist along College Road and asked what they just delivered, they’ll most likely tell you it was the Student Deal from Apache Pizza. 

Yet, Bishopstown tend to be in the mood for Mexican, with the chicken burrito from Boojum the most popular meal in the area.
