Three-year-old struck by a car in Mahon

A TODDLER has been taken to Cork University Hospital after being hit by a car last night in Mahon.

Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision involving a 3-year-old boy and a car at St Michael's Close, Mahon,  at approximately 9.30pm.

It is the second incident in the space of two months where a child has been hit by a car in the Mahon area.

The child was brought to Cork University Hospital with minor injuries. 

The driver of the car was not injured during the collision.
