SIX units of the Cork City Fire Brigade dealt with a hazardous material incident at Cork University Hospital this afternoon.
Emergency services received a call reporting a possible leak at CUH at around 12.30pm.
Six units, including a Third officer, Hazardous Material unit and Rescue Tender attended the scene.
It is believed the leak was not serious and the scene was made safe by the crews in attendance.
They were back at their station at around 3.20pm.
A statement from the hospital said: “Cork University Hospital can confirm that the Cork City Fire Brigade attended the hospital today.
“There was no fire and the Fire Brigade have departed. The incident is now closed.”
