Foul play ruled out in death of man in Cobh

Gardai have ruled out foul play in the death of a man found dead in his apartment in Cobh this morning.

The man, believed to be in his late 40s, was found by his flatmate in his apartment at Waterfront Apartments, Cobh in the early hours of Monday morning.

The body remained at the scene for most of the day yesterday as Gardaí examined the scene and the State Pathologist was called.

Gardaí were initially investigating the incident to assess all avenues, but by evening confirmed to The Echo that it was a tragic incident and an inquest would follow.
