Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in his late 30s in relation to a burglary at a shop on Oliver Plunkett Street on March 14.

Shortly before 4:30pm a man entered a staff area of a shop and left having taken a mobile phone. An investigation was carried out by Gardaí in Anglesea Street and a man in his late 30s was arrested yesterday.

He was detained at Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and has since been charged to appear before Cork City District Court this morning, 2nd May at 10:30am.
