A TEENAGER has been arrested in relation to a burglary in Clonakilty and will appear in court this morning.

A spokesperson for the Gardaí said: "Gardaì have arrested and charged a man in his late teens in relation to a burglary that occurred at a house in the Ballyvackey area of Clonakilty, Co Cork, on the 15th August 2019.

"Shortly before 12 midday, Gardaì received a report of a burglary that had just occurred. A description of the suspect was circulated to Gardaì on patrol and he was located a short time later on a bicycle.

"He was arrested and detained at Clonakilty Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He has since been charged and is due to Clonakilty District Court [today] at 10.30am," the spokesperson added.
