Thunderstorm warning for Cork

Thunderstorm warning for Cork

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Cork and the remainder of the country.

It follows yesterday's heavy rain that impacted a number of events taking place in the city and country.

"There is the risk of heavy thundery downpours, especially over Munster and Leinster which may lead to spot flooding," Met Éireann said today.

The Status Yellow warning will be in place until 10pm this evening.

Despite the poor weather recently, temperatures are expected to rise significantly this week reaching above 25 degrees on Thursday and Friday.
