Driver caught driving 23km over speed limit in dense fog
From Garda Síochána - Cork, Kerry & Limerick - Southern Region on Facebook

GARDAI nabbed a driver travelling at 73km per hour in a 50km per hour zone in thick fog this morning.

The driver was detected in Rathcormac village at 6am.

On the Facebook page for the Southern Garda Region, a post read: "73 km/h in a 50 zone is excessive in ideal conditions, but in dense fog there's added dangers. Other road users, especially pedestrians and cyclists are more vulnerable. We want you to enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend while we work to keep your roads safer. Please #arrivealive".
