A yellow alert rainfall raining has been issued for Cork, Munster and much of the rest of the country.

Heavy bursts of rain will occur in short intervals of time with a potential for flooding.

The weather warning is in place from 11pm tonight until 11.59pm tomorrow night.

The rainfall warning is in place for Munster, Connacht, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Offaly and Westmeath
