Community warned to be vigilant after spate of car break-ins

RESIDENTS in Montenotte have been advised to ensure their cars are locked and parked in secure locations following a series of suspected thefts from vehicles in the area.
Gardaí are investigating three incidents over the last 24 hours.
A statement issued by gardaí, said:
“Gardaí are investigating a suspected theft from a car in Montenotte, Cork that occurred between the hours of 11pm Tuesday 17th September and 7am Wednesday 18th September. It’s understood a small sum of cash and and one item was taken. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.”
A second theft from a car is suspected to have taken place across the same time period, with investigations ongoing.
Gardaí also identified a third incident of theft from a car that occurred at approximately 12.30am today, also at Montenotte.
A sum of cash was taken.
