A MAN is being questioned about the discovery of heroin and cocaine at Kent Station.

€105,000 worth of heroin was seized along with €2,000 of cocaine.

The arrest and seizure were made as part of an ongoing operation targeting drug dealing in the Mayfield area, according to gardaí.

Officers from the divisional drugs unit in Cork city stopped and searched a man during the operation. The drugs were seized and will now be sent to Dublin for analysis to establish purity.

The man who was arrested is in his 30s.

He is being held this morning in Mayfield garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
