Gardaí remained at the scene this morning, where burglars had smashed through the front door.
In a Facebook post which showed broken glass all around the entrance, the pharmacy stated:
"Not what we were expecting overnight at PFP Glanmire.
"As it turns out Lorenzo was the least of our worries!"
Following an extensive cleanup, the establishment was able to re-open this afternoon.
They thanked the public for their patience and continued:
"Thank you to the Gardaí for their amazing support and assistance in us getting back open so quickly today."
Whilst the incident was extremely unfortunate, Pharmacy First Plus thanked the Glanmire for their support and thoughtful gestures.
One such act of kindness was from Brooklyn Barbers Glanmire, who bought chocolates for the pharmacy staff.
