THREE men are being questioned today about a burglary in Charleville yesterday.
The three men – aged in their 30s, 50s and 60s – were arrested followed a forced entry to a house in the Fremount area, near Charleville, just before 6pm.
Two men were involved, while a third man waited in a nearby car.
Gardai from Mallow responded to the incident and were backed up by the Armed Support Unit.
Two men were arrested at the house while the third was arrested a short time later, after he left the scene in a car.
Two of the men are being held in the Bridewell station in Cork city. The third is being questioned in Mallow station.
They are being held under Section Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
A garda spokesman said: “No injuries were sustained in this incident. Investigations are ongoing.”
