Appeal for witnesses after Marina Walk assault; Investigation launched after male attacked

AN APPEAL for information has been made by city Gardaí after an attack on an individual took place at Marina Walk yesterday.
A man was set upon yesterday evening and needed hospital treatment after sustaining injuries.
The incident is the latest in a number of assault reports in the city centre and Rochestown area in the last week.
“A spokesperson for the Gardaí said: “Gardaí in Anglesea street are investigating an assault that took place at Marina Walk, Cork yesterday, 17th of September at approximately 6:30pm. A male in his 30s was taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
Gardai at Anglesea Street are asking witnesses to contact them on 021-4522000 if they have any information which may help the investigation.
