Stolen tools worth €5,000 recovered from dangerous driver 
Fermoy Gardaí stopped a motorist for dangerous driving at a Garda check point near Kilworth yesterday.

€5,000 worth of stolen tools were recovered by Gardaí who pulled over a vehicle for dangerous driving on the M8 near Kilworth yesterday.

Fermoy Gardaí arrested and charged a man in his 20s in relation to the dangerous driving incident on the M8 motorway on Thursday at around 12pm, midday.

Gardaí from the Roads Policing Unit in Fermoy were carrying out a speed check on the M8 in the Kilworth area when they detected a vehicle which was speeding.

The vehicle was stopped and searched.

During the search, approximately €5,000 euro worth of tools that were stolen from a number of vehicles in Cork city earlier that day were recovered.

The man in his 20s was arrested and brought to Fermoy. He has since been charged to appear before Fermoy District Court at a later date.
