Woman arrested over attempted Cork city pharmacy robbery where staff were threatened

GARDAÍ have arrested and charged a woman in her 30s in relation to a robbery incident at a pharmacy on College Road, Cork city on Thursday.
At approximately 11.30am, Gardaí received a report of an attempted robbery on College Road. A woman had entered a pharmacy and handed over a note that threatened staff and demanded a list of items.
The woman was unsuccessful and left the scene. Gardaí from Bishopstown, with the assistance of the Armed Support Unit, carried out a preliminary investigation and a woman in her 30s was arrested shortly after.
She was detained at Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged to appear before the courts at a later date.
